Primary Care
Many clinics in NYC offer low-cost primary care. Before visiting a clinic, call to ask if they accept your insurance, if walk-ins are accepted, or if an appointment is required. If your call is not answered, leave a voicemail and ask for a callback. Be sure to give your name and phone number in the voicemail. Ask how a visit is being paid for, so you know if it is free or low-cost. All locations listed will assist with insurance.
NYC residents may also enroll in NYC Care, a health care access program—not an insurance plan—which guarantees services through NYC Health + Hospitals, all of which offer affordable health care options (full list here).
